Each fall, folks head to the N.C. Seafood Festival in Morehead City for the exhibitions, entertainment, and – who could forget – the fresh coastal cuisine. But you might say that, of the thousands who attended this year’s event over the weekend, James Fudesco got the “catch of the day.”

After buying $10 in lottery tickets at our booth, the Beaufort retiree scratched off a $10,000 prize playing the “$2,500 a Week for Life!” game. Fudesco said he was “very, very excited” when he realized he won and plans to use his prize money to have a new roof installed.

We love to meet players at events like the Seafood Festival. It’s one of many cultural or sporting events that the lottery partners with across the state. Take a look at our calendar to find out when we’ll be in your neck of the woods – and remember to stop by and see us while you’re out and about.

I've been entering my non winning tickets since it launched. I've 100 points on some then 5 or 10 why is that?

On 10/17/2012 04:34, Lucke-Zone said

@ PLAYER (SSM) - It's part of the fun of Lucke Rewards. A non-winning $1 ticket can be worth 1 to 10 points; a $20 ticket can be worth 20 to 200 points! Good luck!

where do you get the complimentary point card for the 300 hundred extra points? do you have to pay for them?

On 10/22/2012 09:18, Lucke-Zone said

@ EARL - Lucke Zone members already got 300 "getting started points" just for being registered and checking out Lucke Rewards. The card you're referring to is distributed at marketing events across the state; check out our events page: http://bit.ly/4rBEBW

@ BARBARA - At this time, the only Lucke Rewards drawing that you can receive entry into is the Lucke Rewards Launch drawing that will be held on Nov. 7 with an entry deadline of 11:59pm on Oct. 31. Entry for the first "Winning Wednesdays" drawing and opens on Oct. 29

I understand that there will be more losing tickets than winners, but I bought 10 500 a week for life tickets where the odds of winning are 4:94 how do you not win anything on any of them. I would think for every 5 tickets you would win SOMETHING seriously considering not playing the NC Lottery anymore.

On 10/24/2012 09:25, Lucke-Zone said

@ PLAYER (K) - The odds of winning are accurate for the entire game, which includes all the tickets that were printed. If winning a prize on a lottery ticket was as simple as buying 3, 4, or 5 tickets at a time, that's what everyone would do; in fact, it may only take one ticket to have good luck. We hope you will only play if you enjoy playing

Is the drawing on 10/29/12 for just $2,500 or $25,000 and 3 for $3,000? also if I don't win will I lose all of my entries?

On 10/29/2012 10:28, Lucke-Zone said

@ THEBAP - There is no drawing being held on 10/29... entry begins on 10/29 for the first Winning Wednesdays drawing to be held on Wednesday, 10/31. When you choose to use your points to enter a drawing, the points are "exchanged" for that entry. You have to use new points in order to enter future drawings.

I would like to know how the winner is drawn for the 2,500 and the 25,000 drawings on the luckezone. The only thing I have ever read about this on this blog is the computer picks a number, So the computer picks a number from what?? is it a losing ticket number or what number are you talking about??? Give the full details on now the winner is drawn!!

On 6/17/2013 12:22, Lucke-Zone said

@ PLAYER (LN) - As you know from entering Lucke-Rewards drawings, you get points in exchange for entering your tickets. Once your ticket gets "converted" into points, the ticket isn't part of the equation anymore. The Lucke-Rewards drawings are conducted using a random number generator that chooses - at random - from all the entries that players make in the drawings. Entering the drawings for a chance to win is fun, but the drawings themselves are kind of boring. The draw staff and security team who conduct the drawings and auditors who observe the drawings insist on it! :-D Good luck!!

Can we watch the drawing process for Lucke-Rewards?

On 8/20/2013 10:02, Lucke-Zone said

@ PLAYER (ATIK) - Sure, you're welcome to attend the drawing process here at lottery headquarters. Just call our security division to discuss: 888-732-6235
